About Me

My Counseling Approach

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with offices located in Mill Valley and San Francisco, CA. I come from a depth psychology orientation, which takes into account the unconscious beliefs, attitudes, and self-defeating patterns hidden from everyday awareness that impact our wellbeing and relationships. I work with individuals and couples to help them transform their inner and relational conflicts into opportunities for growth and life change using approaches such as EMDR, psychodynamic, Jungian depth, and Somatic therapies, .

My life experience as a mother, partner, corporate executive, meditator, traveler, and all of the trials and tribulations along the way led to my becoming a Psychotherapist. Having studied both Eastern and Western philosophies and religions and having navigated through my own dark times I bring a wealth of depth, experience, and insight to the clients that I work with. Through living a life of introspection and self-discovery, I have come to value the inner worlds of others and have developed immense compassion and empathy. I hope to be able to help you see the beauty in who you are, and provide the unconditional acceptance that is at the foundation of a journey toward growth and change.

I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California where I was trained in Depth Psychology. I did my graduate research in EMDR, which has shown to be effective in the treatment of PTSD and other forms of trauma. I have found that utilizing EMDR is a straightforward way to approach symptom reduction for clients who feel stuck in unhealthy patterns. In my experience, EMDR combined with depth psychology addresses clients’ challenges in a very effective, holistic way.
